ARAS Shipbrokers B.V. was founded in 1994 as an independent shipbrokerage company with office in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Earlier this century the company was joined and taken over by two new full time brokers; first Roderick Schlick and lateron Daan Pijls which both have a sea-going career background and are currently 'manning' the company. Since then the company became even more actively involved in the sale & purchase brokerage of seagoing commercial vessels and is now an established name in both the national- and international shipping market.

ARAS Shipbrokers is holding excellent contacts in the brokerage- and shipowners community both in The Netherlands and abroad. ARAS Shipbrokers is mainly involved in the Sale and Purchase brokerage of sea-going vessels such as dry-cargo vessels, container and MPP vessels etc. Also contracting of newbuildings is within the scope of the activities of ARAS Shipbrokers.

ARAS Shipbrokers is a member of The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) , the Dutch Shipbrokers Association (NBMS) and also an associated member of the Royal Dutch Shipowners Association (KVNR). Roderick Schlick is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) from London, UK. Daan Pijls is a certified Registered Shipbroker by Europian Maritime Certification Institute (EMCI).
